This Transforming Table Magically Transforms From Rectangle to Circle
Don't get us wrong, we think Mauricio Affonso's expanding table is a clever idea that's been beautifully executed. But the transforming table's use of 400 wooden slats, which allows it to transform from a rectangular surface to a large round dining area, is just hundreds of dropped utensils waiting to happen.
However, besides making it incredibly easy to accomodate additional dining guests without always taking up a lot of space in a small home. The aptly named Fan Table's slotted surface should also prevent spills from spreading all the way across the tabletop. Instead, they'll just drip down onto the floor where they can easily be taken care of by a mop and/or dog.
